Picasso wolf Art - Minimal wolf Line Drawing Poster by dylanjaimz ... The Fearless One Line Picasso Drawings - Elumina
The famous painter Picasso thought that line is one of the most important elements in art. It was the first artistic expression and its the first trace children do.
The one line drawings of Picasso show us how skillful Picasso was, because with only a path with a pencil he could bring to life people, animals, objects..
Moreover, in these drawings theris not a second chance, there is not turning backs. The first line is the last one.
You can see in these slideshows examples of this type of drawings.

DOT

Hi everybody!
Today we are going to learn about the simplest element of Art: DOT.

DOT

Kandinsky, an important abstract painter  stated that the dot is born the moment a drawing tool hits the paper.
It means that is a very easy thing to do, so simple, a dot...

In the following slide show you have the definition and importan theory related to dots.

So, dots can connect and in this way, guide your look.
If they are place together, they can create forms.
In high density, dots can create a feeling of shade.

ACTIVITY 1 - DOTS
We are going to practice with expression and composition with dots using the activity of the next video made by Fidel Rodríguez del Moral.
Watch this video and follow the instructions.

You need a sheet of paper, it is better if it is a little bit thick and felt-tip pens or markers.

DEADLINE (Fecha de entrega) - April 30th

DOT IN ART

Dot is all and nothing, beginning and end, birth, principle, origin, center, starting point and ending point. -Lewandowsky.

Dot has been presented in the Art History since the beginning, from the paintings on the walls of the caves to contemporary painting and design.
In the next slide show you can see several examples of the using of dots through different ages and art movements. Enjoy the journey!

Here you can learn more about POINTILLISM.

Another interesting artist that use dots.

ACTIVITY 2 -  BOOMERANG DESIGN

In this activity you have to design a aboriginal art style boomerang.
In order to learnmore about this ancient art you can see the next slideshow.
Inside you are going to see the meaning of different symbols used in aboriginal designs.

Here you have the design, it is not necessary to print it, you can draw the boomerang in a sheet of paper, but you have to draw it big because that way it is easier to draw the different elements.
Of course you have to use dots to make your design.
DEADLINE (Fecha de entrega) - May 6th

If you have any question, whatever: vocabulary, meaning... anything you know how to contact.

¡¡¡AVISO!!!

Miriam

SOME HELP IN SPANISH
In case you do not understand the previous slideshows,  here you have some information about dots in  Spanish  with this great slideshow made by Lucía Álvarez.

Quick, draw

This is a game built with machine learning. You draw, and a neural network tries to guess what you’re drawing. Of course, it doesn’t always work. But the more you play with it, the more it will learn.

They have trained it on a few hundred concepts, and they hope to add more over time. They made this as an example of how you can use machine learning in fun ways.

I hope you enjoy playing with it
